Take Profit Trader payout guide: first payout, split and methods

Take Profit Trader PRO accounts can withdraw daily from day one once above a buffer equal to the drawdown, at 80% with no maximum; PRO+ pays 90% with no buffer.

November 5, 2026

This guide explains how Take Profit Trader pays traders on its PRO (simulated funded) and PRO+ (live-market) accounts: the buffer you must build first, daily withdrawals, the 80% and 90% splits and the payout rails. We checked November 2026 against takeprofittrader.com and its official FAQ, using the facts in our Take Profit Trader review. Some figures, including per-size drawdowns and a minimum withdrawal, were not published on the official pages we could reach, and we say so where it matters.

When is the first payout?

Once you pass the Test and activate a PRO account, withdrawals are available from the first day. There are no minimum profitable days and no payout windows. The one condition is the buffer: the account must be above it.

On PRO, the buffer equals the account's drawdown. Take Profit Trader does not publish the dollar drawdown for each size on the pages we could reach. Secondary sources report a $2,000 drawdown on the 50K, which would mean a balance above $52,000 before withdrawals are paid at 80%. Treat that figure as unverified and check your dashboard.

PRO activation costs a one-time $130, waived under the current NOFEE50 promotion. There is no monthly fee on PRO or PRO+.

How often can you withdraw?

Daily. Once above the buffer, you can request any day with no maximum withdrawal. That makes Take Profit Trader one of the most flexible firms for frequent payouts, as long as you keep the buffer intact.

Daily access does not mean you should withdraw daily. Every dollar you take out lowers your balance and your distance from the drawdown floor. Leaving some profit above the buffer gives you room to absorb a losing day without dropping back inside it. Traders who withdraw everything above the buffer each day start every session with the smallest possible cushion.

After a performance and behaviour review, traders can be offered PRO+, a live-market account with no buffer and a 90% split. New PRO+ accounts (opened since June 30) use an EOD drawdown and must place at least one trade per week to stay active.

Profit split explained

The split is 80% on PRO and 90% on PRO+. Withdrawing from inside the buffer is possible but normally closes the account and is paid at 50%.

Worked example (50K PRO, using the reported $2,000 drawdown).

  • The buffer means withdrawals at 80% need a balance above $52,000.
  • At $53,500, you can withdraw the $1,500 above the buffer and receive $1,500 × 0.80 = $1,200.
  • At $52,800, withdrawing $800 pays $640.
  • On PRO+ at 90%, a $1,500 withdrawal would pay $1,350.

Withdrawing from inside the buffer, for example $1,000 at 50% ($500), would normally close the PRO account, so it only makes sense if you intend to stop. Our profit calculator can run your own figures.

Payout methods and fees

  • US traders: Plaid real-time bank transfers or ACH.
  • International traders: PayPal or Wise.

Take Profit Trader says payouts typically arrive within one business day. Our review does not include method fees or a minimum withdrawal amount, so check the request screen before you submit.

Rules that can block or reduce a payout

  • Intraday trailing drawdown on PRO: unlike the Test's EOD drawdown, PRO follows the highest equity reached during the session, including unrealized gains. A winning trade that reverses can raise your floor and shrink the room above your buffer. See static vs trailing drawdown.
  • Buffer: withdrawals from inside the buffer are paid at 50% and normally close the account.
  • News: PRO and PRO+ accounts may not trade during "specific major news events". The list was not on the pages we could access, so confirm it in your dashboard. See prop firm news trading rules.
  • Consistency: none on PRO or PRO+; the 50% rule applies only in the Test.
  • Automation and hedging: copy trading across up to five PRO accounts is allowed, but the official pages do not address bots or hedging, so ask support first.
  • Account limits: the FAQ allows up to five PRO or PRO+ accounts at once, while the terms say three. Check which applies.
  • KYC: the KYC process is not described in detail publicly, so expect to verify your identity and confirm what is needed before your first payout.

Step-by-step: how to request a payout

  1. Check your PRO balance and the buffer shown in your dashboard.
  2. Work out how much sits above the buffer; that is what you can take at 80%.
  3. Complete any identity verification requested.
  4. Submit the withdrawal request.
  5. Choose Plaid or ACH (US), or PayPal or Wise (international).
  6. Expect the payout typically within one business day.

Before you request a payout checklist

  • Check your distance from the intraday trailing floor with our drawdown calculator.
  • Make sure your request does not dip into the buffer.
  • Estimate your take-home at 80% or 90% with the profit calculator.
  • Avoid trading during the restricted news events.
  • Confirm your payout method is available in your country.
