Goat Funded Trader vs FundedNext

Goat Funded Trader vs FundedNext: 2 Step GOAT against Stellar 2-Step on daily loss, payout caps and fees, refunds, platforms and US access.

November 5, 2026

7

Goat Funded Trader (GFT) and FundedNext both sell two-phase forex and CFD evaluations with a 10% static maximum loss and no evaluation consistency rule. FundedNext ranks third in our data, with published prices and a fee refund on the first reward. GFT ranks tenth: its rules are detailed and its platform choice is wide, but it adds a daily profit cap, payout caps and a processing fee on funded accounts, and we could not verify its prices. This comparison sets GFT's 2 Step GOAT against FundedNext's Stellar 2-Step, using official pages and help centers checked in November 2026.

FundedTime scores

Goat Funded Trader scores 6.2/10 and ranks 10th of the 11 forex and CFD firms we track. FundedNext scores 8.2/10 and ranks third. Scores follow our published methodology and are not a guarantee of results.

Pricing and fees

FundedNext publishes USD prices: the Stellar 2-Step costs $59.99 for $6,000, $299.99 for $50,000 and $549.99 for $100,000. GFT's help center does not publish prices and its pricing page did not load for us. Secondary, unverified: PropFirmMap listed $458 for a $100,000 2 Step GOAT in November 2026, without saying whether that was a list or discounted price. GFT runs large discounts often, so check checkout.

FundedNext refunds the Stellar 2-Step fee with the first reward. GFT refunds the evaluation fee with the fourth payout. GFT allows one reset per phase on accounts bought from 15 June 2026, priced as a percentage of the fee; FundedNext offers resets at roughly 9 to 10% off until you are funded.

Rules and drawdown

GFT 2 Step GOAT: 8% then 6% targets, a 4% daily limit and a 10% static maximum loss. The daily limit is set at 5pm EST from the higher of balance or equity, so floating profit at that time raises the next day's floor. Each step needs 3 profitable days of at least 0.5% of the initial balance. An optional "1% Floating" version also ends the account if open losses reach 1%.

FundedNext Stellar 2-Step: 8% then 5% targets, a 5% daily limit fixed at 5% of the initial balance (open P&L, swaps and commissions count), a 10% static maximum loss and 5 trading days per phase.

Funded-stage rules are where GFT diverges. GFT caps daily profit at $3,000 on funded accounts, removes profit from trades held under 60 seconds (120 for older accounts), and for funded accounts bought from 8 October 2026 requires your largest winning trade to be at least as large as your largest loser. It bans VPN, VPS and proxy use from 6 October 2026, and all hedging. FundedNext's funded rules are lighter: news profits count at 40%, and on-demand rewards need a best day of 40% or less.

News: GFT caps profit from trades within 5 minutes of red-folder news at 1% of the initial balance per trade, in every phase. FundedNext allows news freely in challenges and counts funded news profits at 40%. EAs: GFT allows only EAs you built yourself. FundedNext allows EAs on $5,000 to $25,000 accounts with a paid add-on, on MT4 or MT5. Both allow weekend holding, though GFT reviews trades opened in the last 3 hours on Friday and closed in the first 3 on Monday.

Worked example: daily loss and the first payout on $100,000

Both accounts have a $90,000 static floor.

  • Day 1: GFT's daily floor is $96,000 (4%); FundedNext's is $95,000 (5%).
  • Day 2 reset: you closed at $103,000 with an open trade worth +$1,500, so equity is $104,500. GFT measures from $104,500: 4% is $4,180, so the floor is $100,320. If the open trade falls back to breakeven, you have $2,680 of room. FundedNext allows $5,000 from the day's starting level, a floor of $98,000 if measured from the $103,000 balance; its rules page does not say whether open profit at the reset changes this.

Now a funded payout with $6,000 of profit and no day above $3,000:

  • GFT: the first two payouts are capped at the lower of 6% of $100,000 or $10,000, so $6,000 is within the cap. 80% is $4,800, and GFT's 3% processing fee ($144) leaves $4,656. If you instead take the on-demand first reward at 3% profit ($3,000), it pays only 40%: $1,200, less 3%, so $1,164.
  • FundedNext: on the default cycle at day 21, 80% is $4,800, plus the $549.99 fee refund.

Check your own numbers with the drawdown calculator and profit calculator.

Payouts

GFT pays most models every 14 days from your first trade. On 2 Step GOAT the first reward can be on demand once you have 3% profit over 3 or more trading days, paid at 40%. The standard split is 80%, with a 100% add-on at checkout. The minimum is $100 and only one request can be pending. Methods are Rise (no limit), bank transfer (up to $10,000, selected African countries only), Skrill (up to $5,000) and crypto (up to $3,000). GFT says it processes rewards within 2 business days and pays a $1,000 bonus if it misses that window, excluding KYC delays.

FundedNext's default Stellar 2-Step cycle pays first at day 21, then every 14 days, at 80% (90% after a scale-up), with on-demand (90%), 3 Profitable Day (60%), bi-weekly and Lifetime 95% options. Methods are USDT, USDC, RiseWorks, bank transfer, card and FNmarkets deposit; rewards are usually issued within 24 hours. See the Goat Funded Trader payout guide and FundedNext payout guide.

Platforms and US access

GFT offers MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker, Match-Trader and Volumetrica, with US clients limited to TradeLocker, Match-Trader and Volumetrica. FundedNext offers MT4, MT5, cTrader and Match-Trader, with US clients on Match-Trader only and no EAs. Leverage differs: GFT's evaluation lists 1:100 on forex (1:50 once funded), FundedNext's Stellar 2-Step 1:30.

Reputation

FundedNext had a 4.5 Trustpilot rating from 82,825 reviews in November 2026. Trustpilot was withholding GFT's rating for a guidelines breach, listing 4,342 reviews with a split of 46% five-star and 40% one-star.

Who each firm suits

Goat Funded Trader

Traders who want higher forex leverage, a 4% daily limit with no consistency rule in evaluation, and platform choice including Volumetrica, and who steadily make modest daily gains well under $3,000.

FundedNext

Traders who want published prices, the fee back with the first reward, fewer funded-stage conditions and no processing fee, and who can work with 1:30 leverage and a 21-day first cycle.

Which should you choose if…

  • You want the clearest costs: FundedNext, which publishes prices and charges no payout fee.
  • You make occasional large winning days: FundedNext; GFT's $3,000 daily cap would trim them.
  • You need more than 1:30 leverage: GFT in evaluation (1:100 forex).
  • You trade from a VPS: FundedNext; GFT bans VPS hosting while trading.
  • You want a smaller Phase 2 target: FundedNext (5% against GFT's 6%).

Bottom line

FundedNext scores 8.2/10 and Goat Funded Trader 6.2/10 in our rankings. FundedNext is the more transparent and less conditional choice. GFT can work for disciplined traders who stay inside its many funded-stage rules, but verify its price and the rule version for your purchase date first.
