Prop firms whose payouts run weekly, daily or on demand after the first withdrawal, with each program's first-payout rule, ongoing frequency, split at that frequency and methods, plus the buffers, caps and consistency checks that apply.
Take Profit Trader and Apex Trader Funding are both long-running futures prop firms with large Trustpilot followings. Take Profit Trader's main draw is daily withdrawals from the first funded day; Apex offers a choice of intraday or EOD drawdown. Both are only partly documented: Take Profit Trader does not publish Test prices or targets on the official pages we could reach, and for Apex we could not verify current pricing, rules or payouts at all after third-party reports of a March 1, 2026 overhaul. Unverified figures are labelled.

Every Apex row marked "Reported, unverified" comes from third-party trackers (Prop Trading Vibes, August 2026, and the PipBack change log) or from an Apex homepage that appears to show legacy terms. Apex's help center would not load during our checks, so treat those figures as a starting point, not as confirmed terms.
FundedTime scores
Take Profit Trader scores 7.9/10 (#4 in our futures rankings). Apex Trader Funding scores 6.2/10 (#10 in our futures rankings). Scores reflect our published methodology, including how much we could verify, and are not a guarantee of results.
Pricing and fees
Take Profit Trader bills its Test as a monthly subscription, but the monthly prices by size are not published on the pages we reached. Third-party sites list about $170 a month for 50K before discounts, which we could not confirm. The homepage says the most a failed Test can cost is $360, resets start at $79, and passing triggers a one-time $130 PRO activation fee that is waived under the current NOFEE50 promotion. There are no monthly fees on PRO or PRO+. Refunds are possible within 72 hours if the account is unused, minus $75.
Apex reportedly moved to one-time fees: $249 for an intraday 50K and $490 for an EOD 50K (Prop Trading Vibes, August 2026), plus an activation fee of unstated size. Its homepage showed older monthly pricing when we checked. Compare checkout prices for both.
Rules and drawdown
Take Profit Trader's Test uses EOD trailing drawdown, no daily loss limit, a three-day minimum and a soft consistency rule: no single day may be 50% or more of the target, but breaking it only means you keep trading. Once you pass, PRO accounts switch to intraday trailing drawdown, and new PRO+ (live) accounts go back to EOD. Dollar drawdowns per size are not published on official pages.
Apex reportedly offers a choice for the evaluation itself: intraday trailing with no daily limit, or EOD with a daily limit ($1,000 on 50K). Reported drawdowns are $1,000 to $4,000 and there are no minimum days or evaluation consistency rule.
News: Take Profit Trader allows it in the Test but restricts "specific major news events" on PRO and PRO+. The Apex homepage bans news-specific strategies. Take Profit Trader explicitly allows copy trading across up to five PRO accounts; Apex's copier policy is unverified. Apex requires all trades closed by 4:59 PM Eastern; Take Profit Trader's overnight rule was not stated on official pages.
Worked example: a 50K account from Test to first payout
Both firms' 50K figures here are third-party: a $3,000 target and a $2,000 drawdown (starting floor $48,000).
The evaluation. Take Profit Trader's consistency cap is 50% of the $3,000 target, so a day of $1,500 or more triggers it. Apex reportedly has no cap. A trader who makes $1,000, loses $500, makes $1,000, then $1,500 reaches $3,000 on day 4 at both firms, but at Take Profit Trader the $1,500 day breaches the rule and you keep trading. One more +$200 day gives $3,200, with the best day at $1,500 ÷ $3,200 = 46.9%, which clears it. On Apex's EOD track the $500 losing day is within the reported $1,000 daily limit; on Take Profit Trader there is no daily limit at all.
The first payout. Take Profit Trader's PRO buffer equals the drawdown, so on 50K the balance must exceed $52,000 before withdrawals are paid at 80%. At $52,800 you could withdraw $800 and receive $640. Withdrawing from inside the buffer is possible but normally closes the account and is paid at 50%. Apex reportedly uses a safety-net balance of $52,100 on 50K, a $500 minimum and five qualifying days. At $52,800 that leaves $700 above the safety net; under the homepage's 100%-of-first-$25,000 terms (likely legacy) you would keep all of it, but we could not verify that split still applies.
Payouts
Take Profit Trader PRO withdrawals are available from day one and daily after that, with no minimum profitable days, no payout window and no maximum withdrawal, once above the buffer. PRO+ pays 90% with no buffer. US traders are paid via Plaid real-time transfers or ACH; international traders via PayPal or Wise, typically within one business day.
Apex's payout rules are unverified on the official site. Third parties describe Performance Account payouts after five qualifying days, a first-payout cap of $1,000 to $2,500, up to six requests per account, and an Apex Live program from May 1, 2026 with daily withdrawals from $500. See the Take Profit Trader payout guide and Apex Trader Funding payout guide.
Platforms and US access
Take Profit Trader connects to more than 15 platforms, including NinjaTrader, TradingView, Tradovate, RTrader, Quantower and MotiveWave, on CQG and Rithmic, and accepts US traders. Apex's homepage lists Rithmic (with NinjaTrader) and Tradovate plans; its US and country rules are unverified.
Who each firm suits
Take Profit Trader
Traders who want to withdraw from the first funded day with no maximum, who can build a buffer first, and who are comfortable with intraday drawdown on PRO.
Apex Trader Funding
Traders who want to choose an EOD evaluation over an intraday one and who already know Apex's current rules.
Which should you choose if…
- …you want the most flexible withdrawals: Take Profit Trader, whose day-one daily payouts are documented on official pages.
- …you dislike intraday drawdown: Take Profit Trader's PRO stage uses it. Apex reportedly offers an EOD evaluation, but how that carries into its funded accounts is unverified; Lucid Trading is EOD throughout LucidFlex.
- …you copy trades across accounts: Take Profit Trader explicitly allows it.
- …you trade news: both restrict it in some form; confirm the exact event list.
Bottom line
Take Profit Trader scores 7.9/10 against 6.2/10 for Apex. Its payout terms are clear even if Test pricing is not; Apex's are almost entirely third-party.
