E8 Markets review: our verdict

E8 Markets, which traded as E8 Funding until a 2023 rebrand, is a US-based prop firm that secondary sources place in Dallas, Texas. Its forex and CFD products include E8 One, E8 Pro and E8 Signature. It suits traders who want a highly configurable 1-step product, with drawdown, target and split chosen at checkout, and on-demand payouts, and US traders looking for a firm that accepts them. It is a weaker fit for traders who want simple, fixed rules: drawdowns on several products trail the balance, funded accounts carry best-day rules, and E8 Signature closes positions before the end of each day.

The bigger caveat for this review is verification. E8's help center did not load for us in November 2026, so much of the program detail below comes from secondary sources and is labeled as such. Trustpilot also currently withholds E8's rating. E8 Markets holds a FundedTime score of 6.4/10 and ranks 9th of the 11 forex and CFD firms we track. Our methodology explains how scores and ranks are calculated.

Programs and pricing

A secondary source (Tanto, last updated August 2026) describes three main forex products. A fourth, E8 Zero, appears in E8's own help center navigation, but we did not review it.

ProductSizesProfit targetMax drawdownSplit
E8 One (1-step)$5,000 to $500,0006% to 21%, tied to chosen drawdown4% to 14%, dynamic80%, 90% or 100% chosen at checkout
E8 Pro$5,000 to $500,0008%8% static80% or 100% chosen at checkout
E8 Signature$25,000, $50,000, $100,000, $150,0006%4% ($25,000 and $50,000) or 3% ($100,000 and $150,000), end-of-day dynamic80% fixed

All figures in this table are from a secondary source, and we could not confirm them on E8's site. E8 does not publish a price list we could access, and third-party price figures disagree with each other, so we are not publishing prices. Check the checkout page for the current fee.

The same source reports that refunds are available only if no trades were placed and the account is less than 30 days old, and that crypto payments are not refundable. E8's own trading policy says that if you are removed for a prohibited practice, the fee for the affected account is refunded. We did not find a refund-after-payout policy.

Trading rules explained

Profit targets

According to the secondary source, E8 One's target ranges from 6% to 21% depending on the drawdown you pick. E8 Pro uses 8%, and E8 Signature uses 6% (for example, $6,000 on $100,000). We found no time limit mentioned.

Daily loss limit

The secondary source describes three different approaches:

  • E8 One: a daily drawdown of 3% to 9.2%, matched to the chosen maximum, measured from the day's starting balance. It is a hard breach.
  • E8 Pro: a 2.5% daily drawdown plus a 2% daily profit cap, with excess profit removed overnight.
  • E8 Signature: no daily limit during the challenge. On the funded (performance) account, a 2% "daily pause" counts floating losses. It stops you trading for the rest of the day but does not fail the account.

The trading day rolls over at midnight server time, which equals 5pm Eastern.

Maximum drawdown

E8 One uses a dynamic drawdown that trails the closed balance and locks at breakeven (the starting balance). E8 Signature trails the end-of-day balance and also locks at breakeven. E8 Pro is reported as a static 8% that moves to the initial balance after the first payout. We could not confirm from E8 whether the Signature floor is enforced against intraday equity, so treat it as if it is.

Minimum days, consistency and best-day rules

Third-party sources report no minimum trading days on any product. On funded accounts, E8 One has a 40% best-day rule and E8 Signature a 35% best-day rule: your biggest day cannot exceed that share of total profit when you request a payout. E8's help center confirmed both figures when FundedTime checked it earlier in November 2026. E8 Signature also reportedly needs five profitable days between payouts, though the first payout is exempt.

News trading

The secondary source reports that E8 One's funded accounts bar opening or closing trades within five minutes of high-impact news, while E8 Pro and E8 Signature allow news trading. E8's own trading policy page, which we did read, does not mention news. We have therefore not verified the news rules.

EAs, copy trading and hedging (verified)

E8's trading policy page (updated 23 September 2026) sets these rules:

  • EAs: third-party EAs are allowed, but E8 limits each strategy to one user, and an account may be terminated if several users run the same EA. E8 recommends writing your own.
  • Copy trading: allowed only between accounts you own.
  • Hedging: opposing positions on the same asset are banned, including across accounts.
  • High-frequency trading: no more than 50% of your trades may be held for under one minute.
  • All-or-nothing trading: staking your whole daily drawdown on one trade is banned.

E8 may cap risk at 1% per trade idea where it finds prohibited practices, and its risk team can request an interview at any stage.

Weekend holding and inactivity

The secondary source says weekend and overnight holding is allowed on E8 One and E8 Pro. E8 Signature closes positions by 23:00 server time and reopens trading at 00:15. Accounts reportedly need one trade every 60 days.

Worked example

This example uses the E8 Signature rules described by the secondary source, on a $100,000 challenge. The target is 6% ($106,000), and the end-of-day drawdown is 3%, so the floor starts at $97,000. It trails each day's closing balance and stops at $100,000 (breakeven). There is no daily loss limit in the challenge.

  1. Day 1: you close the day at $101,500. The floor moves up to $98,500 ($101,500 minus $3,000).
  2. Day 2: equity dips to $99,000 during the day, which is still above $98,500, and you close at $99,800. Because the floor only moves up, it stays at $98,500.
  3. Day 3: you close at $103,200. The floor would trail to $100,200, but it locks at breakeven, so it becomes $100,000 and stays there.
  4. Day 4: you close at $106,100. The 6% target is met.

Note how much room was used on Day 2: a further $500 drop would have breached the account. After Day 3, any close below $100,000 ends it. For E8 One, E8's help center (as read earlier in November 2026) requires net profit above 50% of the daily drawdown before a payout. On $100,000 with a 4% daily drawdown, that means more than $2,000.

Payouts

When FundedTime read E8's payout articles earlier in November 2026, E8 One and E8 Signature used payout on demand, with no fixed schedule. The earliest first E8 One payout was 3 days from the start of the trading period. E8 Signature had a $100 minimum payout, and the general minimum was $50 per payout. Payouts went through Plane (bank transfer) or Rise (crypto) and took 2 to 5 business days in total. Rise does not support some US states.

A more recent secondary source names WorkMarket rather than Plane for bank transfers, and reports per-payout caps and a retained buffer on E8 Signature. We could not confirm either point on E8's site. FundedTime has no dedicated E8 payout guide yet, but how prop firm payouts work covers the basics.

Platforms and instruments

Secondary sources list cTrader, MT5, TradeLocker and Match-Trader, with US traders limited to TradeLocker and Match-Trader. They also report order limits of 50 lots per ticket (20 on gold) and 2,000 server requests per day. E8 publishes separate crypto products, and some sources mention higher crypto commissions. Leverage is reported at up to 1:30 on forex. We have not verified the platform list against E8's site.

Who can join

E8's help center confirmed that US traders are accepted when FundedTime checked earlier in November 2026, and E8 is one of the few firms on our list that is itself US-based. We could not load its accepted-countries article this time, so we cannot list restricted countries. Payout providers have their own country coverage, and Rise excludes some US states.

Each account must be managed by its holder. Third-party sources report caps on total funded allocation per product and per household. We did not find a published description of identity checks.

Reputation and trader feedback

When we checked in November 2026, Trustpilot listed 3,302 reviews for e8markets.com and showed no TrustScore. Its notice reads "This company's rating is unavailable due to a breach of our guidelines", and it also says it removed a number of fake reviews.

Some reviewers praise fast payouts, helpful support and a clean dashboard. Others report delayed, denied or reduced payouts, rule changes after purchase (such as new per-trade risk limits), and difficulty withdrawing under dynamic drawdown and buffer structures. These are individual, unverified claims. A secondary source notes that the earlier E8 Funding entity had operational problems during the 2024 prop-firm platform disruptions, but gives no detail, and we have not verified it.

Alternatives to E8 Markets

  • FTMO: clearly published, stable rules and a static maximum loss.
  • Alpha Capital Group: accepts US traders on DXtrade and TradeLocker and publishes rules per plan.
  • The5ers: a long-running firm with several program styles.
  • FundedNext: a broad product range and wide platform choice.

How we verified this review

We checked this review in November 2026. We read E8's official trading policies article (updated 23 September 2026) directly, and the Trustpilot profile. The payout, best-day, US eligibility and payout method details come from E8 help center articles that FundedTime read on 3 November 2026.

E8's help center returned errors when we tried to reload it, so product rules, sizes, targets, drawdowns, weekend and news rules, platforms and refund terms come from secondary sources (mainly Tanto, updated August 2026, and PropNavi). We could not verify those details, prices or the restricted-country list. Prop trading is high risk: most traders fail evaluations, and fees can be lost. This is not financial advice.

Frequently asked questions

Is E8 Markets legit?
