Alpha Futures review: our verdict

Alpha Futures suits discretionary futures day traders who want an end-of-day (EOD) trailing drawdown on every plan, no activation fee and the option of large single payouts: its Advanced plan allows requests of up to $15,000 with no consistency rule once qualified. The trade-offs are monthly evaluation pricing that is higher than several peers, payout requests limited to 50% of profit after five winning days, a strict ban on bots and automated trading, and some price figures that differ between Alpha's own pages.

Alpha Futures scores 8.0/10 in our ratings and ranks third of the 10 futures prop firms we currently rate. Clear EOD drawdown rules and flexible payout caps support the score; higher evaluation costs and a mixed set of recent Trustpilot complaints hold it back. Read our methodology for how we score firms.

Programs and pricing

Alpha Futures Limited, registered in England and Wales (company no. 15655643), runs three monthly evaluations and one direct-funded option:

  • Zero: the cheapest entry, a 1-day minimum, no evaluation consistency rule and a daily loss guard; lower payout caps once qualified.
  • Standard: a 2-day minimum, a 50% evaluation consistency rule and no daily loss guard in evaluation; mid-sized payout caps.
  • Advanced: higher targets and a tighter drawdown, a 3-day minimum and a 40% evaluation consistency rule; once qualified, no consistency rule, no daily guard and a $15,000 cap per request.
  • Direct: a one-time fee that skips the evaluation and starts on a qualified account with withdrawal profit targets and a 20% consistency rule.

Prices below are in US dollars from alpha-futures.com in November 2026. Evaluation prices are monthly; Direct is one-time.

There is no activation fee on Zero, Standard or Advanced. Qualified accounts can be reset for a fee on Zero ($399 to $799) and Standard ($599 to $999), and Standard buyers can pay an add-on ($70, $90 or $110 by size) to remove the qualified consistency rule. Alpha's terms say refunds are issued only as set out in its terms, and the 14-day cooling-off right is waived once you access your account, so treat fees as non-refundable.

Trading rules explained

Profit targets

Zero and Standard targets are 6% of the account ($1,500 to $9,000); Advanced targets are 8% ($4,000 to $12,000). Qualified accounts have no target, except Direct, which must reach a withdrawal target ($3,000 first, then $2,000 on 50K) before each payout.

Daily loss limit

Alpha calls it a "daily loss guard" and treats it as a soft breach: hitting it closes positions, cancels orders and locks the account until the next trading day at 6:00 pm ET, without failing it. It counts realized and unrealized P&L including fees. It applies to Zero evaluations (2% of the starting balance, $1,000 on 50K) and qualified Zero and Standard accounts ($1,000 on 50K). Standard and Advanced evaluations and Advanced qualified accounts have no guard; Direct has a fixed daily loss limit ($1,000 on 50K).

Maximum drawdown

Every plan uses an EOD trailing maximum loss limit, calculated from your highest end-of-day balance. It never moves down, and it stops trailing once it reaches the account's starting balance. Breaches are checked continuously, though: if floating equity touches the limit at any point, the account is liquidated.

Minimum days and consistency

Evaluations need 1 (Zero), 2 (Standard) or 3 (Advanced) trading days. Evaluation consistency is none on Zero, 50% on Standard and 40% on Advanced, meaning your best day cannot exceed that share of total profit. Once qualified, Zero and Standard apply a 40% rule to payouts, Advanced has none and Direct uses 20%.

News trading

There are no news restrictions on any evaluation or on Advanced qualified accounts. Zero qualified accounts cannot enter trades from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after high-impact (ForexFactory red folder) events. Alpha does not state a news rule for Standard or Direct qualified accounts on the pages we checked.

EAs, copy trading and hedging

Alpha prohibits AI, bots and other automated trading on all account types. Semi-automated tools are allowed only if you place, monitor and manage the trade yourself. Hedging, including offsetting NQ and MNQ in the same account, is banned, as are group trading across unconnected accounts and stacking excessive evaluations. Profits from prohibited practices are voided.

Overnight holding and inactivity

All trades must be closed before 4:20 pm ET each day, so overnight and weekend holding is not possible. Accounts must place at least one trade every 10 trading days.

Worked example

A Standard 50K evaluation: starting balance $50,000, target $3,000 (pass at $53,000), EOD trailing drawdown $2,000 (starting floor $48,000), no daily loss guard in evaluation, best day no more than 50% of total profit, minimum 2 days.

  1. Day 1: +$1,200. Balance $51,200; floor rises to $49,200.
  2. Day 2: −$700. Balance $50,500; floor stays at $49,200.
  3. Day 3: +$1,100. Balance $51,600; floor $49,600.
  4. Day 4: +$1,400. Balance $53,000; target reached.

Check: $1,200 − $700 + $1,100 + $1,400 = $3,000. The best day is $1,400, or 46.7% of total profit, so the 50% rule is met. Once qualified, the floor stops trailing at $50,000. Suppose the qualified account later shows $2,400 profit after five winning days of at least $200 and no day above 40% of profit: you could request up to 50% ($1,200), above the $500 minimum and below the $3,000 cap, and receive 90%, or $1,080. On that account, a loss reaching $1,000 in one day would trigger the daily guard and lock trading until 6:00 pm ET.

Payouts

Zero, Standard and Advanced qualified accounts can request after every five winning days of $200 or more, up to four times a month, with each request limited to 50% of profit. Minimums are $200 (Zero), $500 (Standard and Direct) and $1,000 (Advanced). Maximums per request are $1,000 to $2,500 on Zero, $3,000 to $5,000 on Standard, $15,000 on every Advanced size and $1,000 to $3,000 on Direct. Traders receive 90% of each request. Alpha's payout article (updated October 2026) lists ACH for US banks, wire, SWIFT, Wise and Rise, all in USD; its terms say payments are made within 3 business days, while the homepage says Standard payouts are currently paid within five business days. More detail is in our Alpha Futures payout guide.

After $40,000 in payable balance or five payout cycles, traders are reviewed for live trading: either the Alpha Prime program (60% split plus a 12-month salary) or a standard live program at 80%.

Platforms and instruments

The homepage lists AlphaTrader (Alpha's own platform), TradingView via Plus500 connectivity, WealthCharts, Quantower and DeepChart; the How It Works page lists only AlphaTrader, WealthCharts and Quantower. Products come from CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX, plus micro Bitcoin and Ether futures, which count as full-size contracts. Position limits run from 1 mini (Zero 25K) to 15 minis (150K Standard and Advanced), with 10 micros per mini.

Who can join

You must be over 18, and Alpha allows one user per household. US residents are not on its restricted list, which covers 60-plus countries including China, Malaysia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Vietnam, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia and EU states Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Slovenia. Trading is not allowed even while travelling through a restricted country. Identity checks are run through Veriff. A trader can hold up to five qualified accounts, or three if one is an active Standard or Advanced qualified account. We verified these points in Alpha's help center and terms.

Reputation and trader feedback

In November 2026 Alpha Futures had a Trustpilot score of 4.3 from 6,244 reviews, with 85% five-star and 10% one-star ratings. Reviewers often praise helpful support and quick payout approvals. Some reviewers report long-pending payouts on a discontinued legacy "Premium" account, vague automated replies, payouts denied for alleged prohibited trading practices and being muted in Alpha's Discord. Trustpilot shows the company replying to about 80% of negative reviews. Alpha has also changed plan names and terms several times, and its own pages still disagree on the Zero 50K price.

Alternatives to Alpha Futures

  • Topstep: a lower 50K entry price and fast US payout rails, with an activation fee on its Standard path.
  • My Funded Futures: one-time pricing, daily payouts on Rapid and automation allowed within limits.
  • Take Profit Trader: daily withdrawals from the first funded day with no maximum.
  • Bulenox: low one-time prices and a choice of trailing or EOD drawdown.

How we verified this review

Checked November 2026. We reviewed alpha-futures.com (homepage, How It Works, the payout rules article and terms) and help-center articles on the payout policy, maximum loss limit, daily loss guard, prohibited practices, restricted countries, trading hours and inactivity, plus Trustpilot. Conflicting or unverified: the Zero 50K price and reset fee, the platform list, news rules for Standard and Direct qualified accounts, and payout processing times. Most traders fail evaluations and fees are at risk; this is not financial advice.
