Funded Trading Plus review: our verdict

Funded Trading Plus (FT+) is a forex and CFD prop firm run by FTP London Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 13719292) with a registered office at 7 Bell Yard, London. Its current lineup is a 1-Step Express evaluation, a 2-Step Classic evaluation, an Instant account and low-upfront "Activation" accounts. It suits traders who want frequent payouts (every 7 days on Express and Instant), no time limits and a long scaling ladder. It is a weaker fit for traders who make most of their profit on one or two days, since the 2-Step Classic carries 35% and 50% consistency rules, and for anyone who needs MT4 or TradingView.

Our earlier listing described FT+'s older Premium, Advanced and Experienced programs, which the help center now marks as legacy. This review covers the current programs. Trustpilot currently withholds FT+'s rating. FT+ holds a FundedTime score of 6.0/10 and ranks 11th of the 11 forex and CFD firms we track. Our methodology explains how scores and ranks are calculated.

Programs and pricing

2-Step Classic7% / 7%4%8% static10 days after account creation, then every 10 days
InstantNone6%6% trailing, locks at starting balanceFrom day 1 once in profit, then every 7 days
Activation (funded stage)None once funded3%6% trailing, locks at starting balanceAfter 3% profit

FT+ publishes prices for Activation accounts in its help center (updated October 2026, US dollars). You pay a $4 challenge fee up front, then an activation fee only after you pass: $179 for $25,000, $299 for $50,000 and $489 for $100,000. The activation fee must be paid within 60 days of passing.

The help center does not publish prices for Express, Classic or Instant, and we could not load the official homepage. A secondary source (PropFirmAudit, October 2026) lists $549 for a $100,000 Express or Classic account. We have not verified that figure.

Fees are one-time. The terms give consumers a 14-day cancellation right only if the program has not been used. We found no refund of the fee after passing or after a payout. Add-ons at checkout include a 90% starting split and an enhanced scaling option.

Trading rules explained

Profit targets

1-Step Express needs 10%. 2-Step Classic needs 7% in each phase. Instant accounts have no target. Activation accounts have a challenge target before activation, but none once funded. There is no time limit on any program.

Daily loss limit

On Express and Classic, the 4% daily limit is measured from the prior day's closed balance, not intraday equity, and resets at 23:59 server time. FT+'s examples size it on the initial balance, so it is $4,000 on $100,000. On Instant, the 6% limit uses the higher of the prior day's closed balance or equity and resets at 17:00 EST. Activation accounts use a 3% balance-based limit.

2-Step Classic also has a symbol loss limit. A 3% loss on any one instrument, measured from the 16:59 EST balance, is a hard breach. Multiple trades on that instrument are counted together.

Maximum drawdown

2-Step Classic uses a static 8% from the starting balance, so the floor is $92,000 on $100,000. Express and Instant use a 6% relative drawdown that trails the highest balance and stops once it reaches the initial balance. Activation accounts trail equity: on $50,000 the floor starts at $47,000 and locks at $50,000 once equity reaches $53,000.

Minimum trading days

No minimum trading days are stated for passing. On Classic, the first withdrawal is available 10 calendar days after the funded account is created.

Consistency rules

On 2-Step Classic, no single day may produce more than 35% of the net profit in each evaluation step. On the funded account, no day may produce more than 50% of profit in the current payout period. Activation funded accounts use 25%, and breaking that only makes a payout request ineligible. The Express and Instant program pages do not list a consistency rule.

News trading

FT+ says it allows news trading. Its risk review policy treats heavy margin use around news as a red flag: for example, one trade through NFP using 90% of margin for about 10 seconds would likely fail review. The terms also prohibit "boom or bust" trading tied to a single news event. Reviews are triggered by margin use above set levels, which on $100,000 is 60%.

EAs, copy trading and hedging

EAs, algos and bots are allowed, but FT+ does not support them. They cannot be used for arbitrage, grid trading, tick scalping, or copying and hedging across FT+ accounts. Copy trading is allowed only between your own accounts, and copying other traders can void profits. Hedging across accounts is banned.

Weekend holding and inactivity

Express and Classic allow overnight and weekend holding. Instant does not: trades must be closed by 4:30pm EST on Friday, or the system closes them. Every account must open and close at least one trade in each 30-day period, otherwise it is breached. FT+ emails a reminder 7 days before.

Worked example

Take a $100,000 2-Step Classic account in Phase 1:

  • Target: 7%, so $107,000.
  • Static floor: $92,000.
  • Daily limit: $4,000 below the prior day's closed balance.
  • Consistency: no day may exceed 35% of the step's total net profit.
  1. Day 1: you gain $2,000. Balance $102,000.
  2. Day 2: the daily floor is $98,000. You lose $1,000. Balance $101,000.
  3. Day 3: you gain $2,400. Balance $103,400.
  4. Day 4: you gain $1,800. Balance $105,200.
  5. Day 5: you gain $1,900. Balance $107,100.

Net profit is $7,100, and the best day ($2,400) is 33.8% of it, so both the target and the 35% rule are met. Had Day 3 been +$3,000, total profit would be $7,700 and that day would be 39%. You would then need total profit of at least $8,571.43 (3,000 divided by 0.35) before passing.

Once funded, the first withdrawal is available after 10 calendar days, with a minimum of 1% ($1,000). If you have made $4,000 and your best day was $1,800 (45%, inside the 50% rule), an 80% split pays $3,200.

Payouts

Express and Instant accounts can request a withdrawal from day 1 once in profit, with a $50 minimum, then every 7 days. Classic accounts wait 10 days, then request every 10 days, with a 1% minimum. Activation accounts need 3% profit, and the minimum withdrawal is $50.

All programs start at an 80% split, rising to 90% once an account reaches 20% profit in the trader phase, or from the start with a checkout add-on. Payouts are made by crypto or Rise. Review and processing take up to 2 business days, or 5 to 7 days if a request is flagged for risk review. Accounts must be flat when requesting. More in our Funded Trading Plus payout guide.

Platforms and instruments

FT+ currently offers MT5 and Match-Trader for both evaluations and funded accounts, and MT5 is not available in the US. Accounts are swap-free. Leverage is 1:30 on forex and commodities, 1:20 on indices and 1:2 on crypto. Scaling runs from small accounts up to a $2,500,000 starting balance, or $5,000,000 with the scaling add-on. Each level needs 10% new profit on Express and Instant, or 20% on Classic.

Who can join

You must be 18 or over. FT+ prohibits residents of 23 jurisdictions, including Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, Myanmar, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Vietnam, Yemen and Zimbabwe, plus the Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions of Ukraine (list updated August 2026). The United States is not on that list, but MT5 is unavailable there. We did not find an explicit statement on US eligibility. Instant payouts require a signed contract and a valid KYC profile.

Reputation and trader feedback

When we checked in November 2026, Trustpilot listed 2,669 reviews for fundedtradingplus.com and showed no TrustScore. Its notice reads "This company's rating is unavailable due to a breach of our guidelines", and it says it removed a number of fake reviews.

Some reviewers praise a smooth sign-up, clear rules, fast execution and educational support. Others report accounts terminated over alleged copy trading, risk-review rejections, unanswered tickets, and wide spreads or commissions on some accounts. These are individual, unverified claims. FT+ also replaced its program lineup in 2026, so older reviews may describe rules that no longer apply.

Alternatives to Funded Trading Plus

  • FTMO: a stable two-step model with a static maximum loss.
  • FundedNext: several challenge types and broad platform support.
  • The5ers: worth comparing for long scaling plans.
  • Alpha Capital Group: another UK-registered firm, with published plan rules.

How we verified this review

We checked this review in November 2026. Program rules, consistency, payouts, profit split, payout methods, EAs, copy trading, risk review, prohibited countries, platforms and Activation pricing come from FT+'s official help center (pages updated between February and October 2026). Entity and refund terms come from its official terms and conditions, and review data from Trustpilot.

We could not load the official homepage, so prices for Express, Classic and Instant are unverified. US eligibility, payout processing fees and the Pass Now Pay Later program were not checked. Prop trading is high risk: most traders fail evaluations, and fees can be lost. This is not financial advice.
